The above form calculates the Weight Watchers points based upon Calories, Fat, and Fiber content. The calculation uses the following formula:

Points = (Calories/50)+(Fat/12)-(Dietary Fiber/5).

Since the nutritional value of many foods is provided on a "Per Serving" basis, the points are calculated both "Per Serving" and "Total Points" for multple servings. (As in the case where a bag of nuts has two servings so they can advertise it as "Under 100 Calories").

Activity Points = (Weight * Minutes * Activity Level Factor)

The Activity Level Factor is calculated as follows:

    • (Light) = 0.000232 for a heart rate of 40~54% of Maximum Heart Rate
    • (Moderate) = 0.000327 for a heart rate of 55~69% of Maximum Heart Rate
    • (Intense) = 0.0008077 for a heart rate of >70% of Maximum Heart Rate
